Teachers' Appreciation Ceremony
A quiet, formal morning in which our children thanked the people who teach them, in the traditional way.
The Teachers' Appreciation Ceremony is one of the more formal mornings in our calendar, and the children rise to it. They practise for days: how to walk, how to kneel, how to hold the arrangement so the flowers face the right way.
For our international families, it is often the first time they see this particular tradition up close. For our Thai families, it is familiar and much loved. Both sat together in the hall, and both were rather moved by it.
