Meeting Our Families at Parents Orientation
An evening of introductions, classroom tours and a great many practical questions about lunch boxes.
Parents Orientation is where the school year properly begins for the adults. Teachers walked families through the daily routine, the year ahead, and the small practical details that matter most in the first weeks.
What we covered
- The shape of a typical school day
- How we settle children who are new to school
- Meals, snacks and what to send from home
- How and when to reach your child’s teacher
The questions afterwards ran well past the scheduled finish, which we took as a good sign. Families who ask questions in May tend to be families we hear from all year.
